6 BLF terrorists killed in gunfire with security forces in Balochistan: ISPR

Security forces shot dead on Sunday six terrorists belonging to the Baloch Liberation Front (BLF) during a search operation in the Paroom area in the Panjgur district of Baluchistan, the military public affairs wing stated in a statement.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the forces operated on a tip-off concerning the presence of terrorists in the Zamran chain near Paroom.

“Once the troops began a clean-up operation in the area, the terrorists attempted to escape from their hideout and opened fire on the security forces,” the statement said.

The BLF terrorists were killed in an exchange of gunfire, it said.

ISPR said that the killed terrorists were involved in attacks on security forces checkpoints and improvised attacks of explosive attacks on security convoys in Paroom and the outskirts of Panjgur.

On 7 June, security forces killed four terrorists during operations in North Waziristan Tribal District and Noshki District in Baluchistan.

Two terrorists were killed in a firefight with security forces in the Hassankhel area of Mirali tehsil in North Waziristan whereas the other two were shot down during an operation in the Parodh area in Noshki.
