At least 19 people were killed and another 11 wounded after a passenger bus plunged into a ravine in the Zhob district of Baluchistan on Sunday morning.
The bus, carrying over 30 passengers, was on its way from Islamabad to Quetta.
Televised images showed rescuers helping bleeding passengers, while in another scene, the wreck could be seen.
Assistant Commissioner Mehtab Shah told the media about the incident near Dhana Sar. He said the bus plunged into the ravine while driving too fast, killing 19 passengers and wounding 11 others.
Rescue teams rushed to the scene shortly after receiving reports, Shah said, adding that the bodies were taken to the hospital where the process of identifying them was in progress.
The medical superintendent of the Civil Hospital Zhob, Dr.Noorul Haq, said that the wounded brought into the facility were in a critical state. He also stated that the number of deaths is likely to rise.
