The Baluchistan Awami Party (BAP) decided on Wednesday to table a motion of no -confidence against Baluchistan’s Chief Minister Abdul Quddus Bizenjo.
According to President PTI Balochistan chapter Yar Muhammad Rind, the party lawmakers united against their CM Bizenjo and decided to move a no-confidence motion against him.
“We have all the numbers and the no-confidence motion will succeed against Bizenjo,” said Rind, adding that the party will decide on the new chief minister following consultation with the other parties.
Out of 65 members, the votes of 33 members will be needed for the no-trust move to be successful, whereas the party needs 17 votes to table the move against the CM.
Meanwhile, Balochistan government spokeswoman Farah Azeem Shah said Bizenjo will continue to be Balochistan’s chief minister for the next five years. “The no-trust motion against him will not succeed” she maintained.
