Bollywood singer Krishnakumar Kunnath, popularly known as KK, died at the age of 53 in Kolkata as a result of a cardiac assault.
According to the media, he performed during a concert at Nazrul Manch in Calcutta.
KK was taken to the hospital at approximately 10:30 p.m. where doctors pronounced him dead.
He was born in Delhi and was also famous for his live performances.
His Instagram page had shared updates from his show in Kolkata just eight hours ago.
The singer during his concert also sang a song Yaad Ayegein Yeh Pal (Will remember these moments) which is largely shared on social media.
KK launched his debut album, Pal, in 1999.
The singer-songwriter subsequently gave to Bollywood many emblematic songs only in his independent music, providing hits like Tadap Tadap from Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam from Sanjay Leela Bhansali in 1999, Dus Bahane (Dus, 2005) and Tune Maari Entriyaan (Gunday, 2014).
