Cristiano Ronaldo’s friend has sent an encrypted transfer message within hours of Manchester United losing to Crystal Palace on Sunday.
Ronaldo was missing while United lost 1-0 to Crystal Palace due to a hip flexor injury.
With Ronaldo on the sidelines and Rashford also injured, Ralf Rangnick gave Edinson Cavani just his seventh Premier League debut of the season, which is his last for the club.
Cavani is due to leave United for a free transfer at the end of his contract next month.
Ronaldo, 37, joined United until the summer of 2023, but his future at the club remains unclear after a poor season at Old Trafford.
United have unable to qualify for the Champions League this season and it remains to be seen whether that will affect Ronaldo’s future.
Since joining United at 18, Ronaldo plays, at least in the group round of the Champions League every year.
Ronaldo’s close friend, Miguel Paixao, may have just disclosed a hint about the forward’s decision on Sunday evening, though a few hours after United lost to the Palace, Paixao shared an encrypted message on social media with the caption: “#TheStoryContinues.”
Ronaldo ended up the season as the best scorer for United with 24 goals in all competitions.
