Elections to be held following completion of parliament’s term: Marriyum Aurangzeb

Responding to former Premier Imran Khan’s call for early elections at his party’s public rally at Minar-i-Pakistan, Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb declared on Friday that the parliamentary elections would be held after the end of the current parliament’s term and cautioned against a smear campaign against state institutions.

During a press conference, She described Imran Khan as a “financial terrorist” and stated that his policies had led to the suffering of the people.

She claimed Imran Khan had been ousted from office by his supporters and that was because he lied to the people about providing ten million jobs and building millions of houses.

She stated that Imran Khan’s speeches had not changed in the last four years and that his arrogance and lies had not ended. “He [Imran] claimed to be establishing “the state of Madina,” but he was involved in money laundering abroad.”

The elections will be taken place on schedule. And when the elections come this time, the RTS (Results Transmission System) error will never happen again, Imran Khan sahib.”

Referring to other elections that have taken place over the past four years, she stated: “This time, the fog will not appear as in Daska. This time, the ballot boxes will not be stolen as they were in Daska. This time, officials of the Election Commission of Pakistan will not go missing like they were in Daska,” she added.

The Minister of Information said that those who had voted for the PTI in the previous general election would not do so in the upcoming polls.
