Federal Government Approves Electricity Price Hike for Commercial, Agricultural, and Large Consumers

Islamabad – The federal government has approved another increase in electricity prices for commercial, agricultural, and large consumers.

For commercial consumers, the basic electricity price has been increased by PKR 8.04 per unit.

Starting in July, the per-unit cost for commercial consumers will reach PKR 77.15.

Agricultural Tariff Adjustment

For agricultural consumers, the basic tariff has been raised by PKR 6.62 per unit.

As of July, the per-unit tariff for agricultural consumers will be PKR 46.83.

General Services Tariff Increase

Similarly, the electricity tariff for general services has been approved for an increase of PKR 6.98 per unit.

From July, the per-unit electricity tariff for general services will be PKR 61.03.

Bulk Consumers Tariff Hike

For large consumers, the per-unit electricity tariff has been increased by PKR 5.51.

Starting in July, the per-unit tariff for bulk consumers will be PKR 59.96.

Industrial Consumers’ Tariff Unchanged

The federal government has kept the basic tariff for industrial consumers unchanged.
