Peshawar – The funeral prayers for the soldiers martyred in Hassan Khel, Peshawar, were held at the Peshawar Garrison.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the funerals of Shaheed Sipahi Badam Gul and Shaheed Muhammad Idrees were performed.

Attendance by Military and Civil Officials

The funeral ceremony was attended by the Corps Commander Peshawar and a large number of civil and military officials.

After the prayers, the bodies of the martyrs were sent to their native areas, where they will be buried with full military honors.

An intense exchange of fire between the forces and terrorists in Hassan Khel, Peshawar, resulted in the killing of three terrorists, including the notorious commander Abdul Rahim, and the martyrdom of four soldiers.

The martyred soldiers include 24-year-old Sipahi Muhammad Idrees from Swabi, 34-year-old Sipahi Badam Gul from Kohat, CTD Sub-Inspector Taj Mir Shah, and ASI Muhammad Akram.

Intelligence-Based Operation

A joint intelligence operation was conducted in Hassan Khel following reports of the presence of a highly wanted terrorist.

The government had set a bounty of PKR 6 million on terrorist commander Abdul Rahim, who was involved in the attack on Captain Hussain Jahangir and Havaldar Shafiqullah on May 26 of this year.

Weapons and Ammunition Recovered

Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the killed terrorists during the operation.
