Casualties Reported as Attacks Target Homes and Refugee Camps
Israeli drones and warplanes have launched attacks on homes and refugee camps in central Gaza, resulting in the death of one Palestinian and multiple injuries.
The Israeli military targeted a United Nations refugee school in the Nuseirat refugee camp, killing 17 Palestinians and injuring 80 others.
Hamas Denies Withdrawal from Negotiations
In response, Hamas has denied reports of withdrawing from ceasefire negotiations. Izzat al-Rishq, a member of Hamas’ political office, stated that despite the increased attacks by Israel, which appear to derail the mediation efforts by Arab friends and the United States, Hamas remains engaged in the ongoing negotiation process for a ceasefire.
Attack on Another UNRWA School
The Israeli military has also attacked another UNRWA refugee school, resulting in the death of 15 Palestinians and injuries to 70 others.
International Response to Gaza Crisis
Palestinian human rights groups have accused the international community of failing to prevent what they describe as Israel’s “deliberate massacre” of Palestinians in Gaza. These groups assert that the global community’s failure to stop the ongoing genocide has emboldened Israel. They further claim that states providing arms and financial aid to Israel are complicit in these genocidal actions and other crimes.
