Journalist Killed by Unknown Assailants in Khyber District

Local TV Journalist Khaleel Gibran Fatally Shot; Governor and Chief Minister Condemn the Murder


Peshawar – In the Khyber District, unknown assailants shot and killed journalist Khaleel Gibran, who was associated with a local TV channel. Both the Governor and the Chief Minister have condemned the killing.

Incident Details

According to DPO Saleem Abbas, the incident occurred in the Mazarina area of Landi Kotal. Khaleel Gibran was on his way home when his car broke down near his residence. Unknown individuals dragged him out of the vehicle and opened fire on him.

Injured in the Attack

During the shooting, Sajjad Advocate, who was in the car, was also injured and has been taken to the hospital for treatment.

Response from Officials

Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur, has taken notice of Khaleel Gibran’s murder, instructing that the perpetrators be apprehended immediately. Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi, also condemned the killing of the journalist.
