Lt Col (retd) Asim appointed Imran khan’s security chief officer

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has appointed Lieutenant Colonel (retd) Asim in charge of security of Chairman Imran Khan. According to PTI sources, Lt Col (retd) Asim is a former SSG commando.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif had already directed PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s foolproof security.

Yesterday, two meetings were also held for Imran Khan’s security, after which his security was beefed up.

The PM had also instructed that the former PM should be provided Chief Security Officer immediately.

According to the Home Ministry spokesperson, police and FC personnel have also been deployed for the security of Bani Gala House.

The security personnel includes 22 Islamabad police personnel, 72 FC personnel, 36 KP police personnel, and six GB personnel provided by the provincial governments for the security of the then PM.

The Interior Ministry said that 26 SMS security personnel and 9 military security personnel were also stationed at Bani Gala House. During the movement, Imran Khan was accompanied by four Islamabad police vehicles, 23 personnel, a Ranger vehicle, and five personnel.
