Malala Yousafzai to visit flood-affected areas in Pakistan

Nobel laureate and advocate for girls' education, Malala Yousafzai, is expected to land in Pakistan on 12 October 2022 to visit the flooded areas and draw global attention to the catastrophe of climate change.


The details indicate that she will also visit the flooded areas of the most devastated province Sindh, where she will assist disaster victims through its international NGO called Malala Fund.

In this context, the Sindh Ministry of the Interior also ordered the Special Police Unit (SPU) to take strict security measures for its security. She will arrive at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi, after which he will travel to flood-affected areas in the Dadu district.

In addition, funding will also be allocated for the provision of emergency education services. In addition, 10 public girls’ schools will be restored.

She also donated an emergency grant to the International Rescue Committee (IRC) in September through which will provide psychological support to the girls and women of Sindh and Baluchistan affected by the floods.
