NCB clears Shah Rukh Khan’s son in drug case

Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan’s son, along with five others, was released by the Narcotics Control Bureau(NCB) over a lack of evidence in the yacht Corelia drug case while 14 suspects were indicted.

On a tip-off, NCB had searched the yacht Cordelia in Mumbai on October 2, 2021, and nabbed Aryan Khan and others for allegedly consuming drugs at the yacht party.

Aryan Khan was first released on bail after being imprisoned for almost three weeks.

The drug agency had charged the son of Shah Rukh Khan under laws linked to “possession, the consumption and sale of illegal substances, however, freed him on Friday after not finding any evidence against him.

The case stormed Indian social media after NCB claimed Aryan was a drug user and supplier, however, many actors and fans of Shah Rukh Khan spoke on Aryan’s behalf.

The case witnessed developments and a key witness alleged that pressure was exerted on him at the NCB office to sign blank papers. The investigating officer, Sameer Wankhede, was later removed from the case.

Aryan’s lawyer told Indian media that NCB dropped drug charges against Aryan.
