Punjabi singer and Congress leader Sidhu Moose Wala gunned down in Mansa

This happens a day after the security cover of Moose Wala was withdrawn by the Punjab government. He was among the 424 VIPs who lost their security cover yesterday as part of the Bhagwant Mann government’s exercise to clamp down on VIP culture in the state.

Sidhu Moose Wala hailed from Moose Wala village near Mansa and sang many popular Punjabi songs.

Moose Wala was the congress’s contestor in the Assembly elections from Mansa. He lost to AAP’s contestor Dr. Vijay Singla with a great margin of 63,323 votes.

Moose Wala had joined the Congress in November last year. Many local leaders of the party unwelcomed him.
