A few hours after the murder of famous Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala on Sunday, Canada-based gangster Satinder Singh, also known as Goldy Brar, allegedly took responsibility for the murder.
In two separate posts on their alleged Facebook pages, Bishnoi and Brar took responsibility for the assassination of the Punjabi singer.
Moosewala was gunned down by unidentified gunmen in Mansa district of Punjab, one day after the state government withdrew its security cover.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (Mansa) Gobinder Singh told the media that a number of bullets were fired at Moosewala 28, who was travelling along with his two friends in a jeep when he was assaulted at village Jawahar Ke.
Ranjeet Rai, civil surgeon of Mansa told reporters that Moosewala was taken to a civil hospital when he perished. He stated that the other two people who also suffered gunshot wounds were referred to another hospital.
Sidhu Moosewala contested on the Congress ticket from a Mansa assembly seat in the recent state polls and was defeated by Vijay Singla of the AAP party.
Sidhu Moosewala was among 424 persons whose safety was removed by Punjab police on Saturday.
