Renowned South Korean pop singer, Daud Kim, performed Umrah for the first time since his conversion to Islam in 2019. The YouTuber had often shared his desire to visit the holy city of Makkah and Madina, and his wish was eventually realized.
Thinking of himself as the “luckiest guy” on the planet, he used his Instagram to share photos and updates from his spiritual journey.
Daud shared a series of pictures of himself in Ahram at the Kaaba and a clip of the surroundings.
Finally, I came to Makkah. I am the luckiest guy owing to Allah (SWT) opted me and He brought me here.

Grateful for the opportunity, he added that he prayed for all of the Muslim community.
“Thank Allah, thanks for allowing me to come to the holiest city on earth. I prayed for all the Muslim brothers and sisters. May Allah forgive our sins and accept our Duas.” He also wished everybody a happy Ramadan Mubarak.
In 2020, previously known as Jay Kim, Daud made an unexpected social media announcement, that he made up his mind to change his faith in Islam.
Later on, he changed his name from Jay to Daud.
