Dubai: Former Prime Minister Pakistan Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif remarked that the decision to hold elections is in the hands of the Election Commission. He emphasized, “We are not of May 9 but of May 28.” He was speaking to the media at Dubai Airport.
He also mentioned that the country’s economic conditions are a cause for concern, but he remains hopeful. He expressed joy at returning to the homeland after four years. The cases against me have harmed the country, and the current situation is chaotic. We have created these conditions ourselves and will rectify them ourselves.
Nawaz Sharif stated, “We seek justice, and I have always said that I have put my trust in Allah, and I still do. The country that had bid farewell to the IMF and was free from power outages, does it look the same today? If we are in this situation, we have no one to blame but ourselves. Today, the country has regressed.”
