China has imported pine nuts from Pakistan, one of the most expensive dried fruits. According to the General Administration of Customs (GACC) of the People’s Republic of China, China has imported pine nuts from Pakistan in the first two months of this year, valued at US 17.67 million dollars. In the first two months of 2022, China imported 1,606.51 tons of pine nuts worth the US $ 17.67 million.
China has imported pine nuts worth 42.35 million dollars, of which 42% were received from Pakistan.
Abdullah Afridi, a Pakistani businessman based in China, says that Pakistani pine nuts are very popular in China because of their delicious taste.
In Pakistan, pine nuts are known as ‘Royal Dried Fruit’, and people like to eat them during winters but owing to their high price, only the rich can bear it.
