In a lopsided encounter in the T20 World Cup, Afghanistan’s cricket fighters outclassed Uganda, defeating them by 125 runs.

England’s match against Scotland was washed out due to rain.

On Tuesday, Afghanistan, with the help of Rahmanullah Gurbaz’s 76 and Ibrahim Zadran’s 70 runs, set a target of 183 runs for Uganda, who faltered at 58 runs.

Nine batsmen failed to enter double figures. Player of the Match, Fazalhaq Farooqi, claimed five wickets, conceding only nine runs.

In their first Group C match, Afghanistan openers Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran amassed 154 runs in 14.3 overs. However, their opponents only managed 58 runs in pursuit of the target.

Meanwhile, the England vs. Scotland match was called off due to rain, depriving the defending champions of crucial points. Each team received one point. The match was initially reduced to ten overs per side, but rain intervened, preventing play.

In the final match of the day, Netherlands defeated Nepal, who collapsed at 106 runs. Netherlands chased down the target in the 19th over, with Max O’Dowd scoring 54 runs.
