“Thanks to the nation’s prayers, Allah (God) awarded me with a gold medal,” he said.

Nadeem said that in spite of the injuries to his elbow and knee, he was very happy to have won the gold medal. “However, I thanked my physicians for working with me in my training.”

The all-star athlete also thanked the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) for supplying facilities.

Nadeem also missed Neeraj Chopra from India, who failed to compete due to an injury.

CWG star performer Nadeem also asked the government to provide athletes with world-class facilities.

“I will also win a medal at the Islamic games scheduled in Turkey,” he swore.
