The Commonwealth Games refused to allow Pakistan’s captain Bismah Maroof to accompany her little girl. Bismah Maroof’s mother is now likely to remain at a hotel outside the Commonwealth Village caring for the infant girl.
Maroof’s daughter received love from all over the world while Bismah was an effective mother and captain.
Little Fatima’s videos from the sidelines of the Women’s Cricket World Cup made the rounds on the internet.
However, the beautiful moments will not be visible anymore as Fatima was denied access to the Commonwealth Village.
Reports indicate that PCB had asked the Commonwealth Games to provide two additional accommodations in the Commonwealth Village for Bismah Maroof’s mother and daughter.
In reply, Commonwealth Games suggested PCB drop two members of the 22-people group, including players and officials.
However, PCB decided not to omit a player or official to accommodate both Bismah Maroof’s mother and daughter. Fatima and her grandmother are now supposed to reside in a hotel outside the Commonwealth Village while Bismah Maroof will lead Pakistan.
The Commonwealth Games will take place between July 25 and August 8 in Birmingham. Bismah Maroof is currently taking part in the FairBreak Global tournament as her daughter Fatima is in the spotlight in the United Arab Emirates.
