Blasphemous comments: Kashmiri YouTuber Faisal Wani arrested on viral video showing Nupur Sharma’s decapitation

A Kashmiri YouTuber has been arrested for posting a video showing him decapitating an effigy of the BJP’s suspended spokesman. Police reported that the video had sparked fear and alarm in the public.

“Youtuber Faisal Wani, based in Kashmir, has been detained. He posted an incriminating YouTube video that went against the tranquility of the public and frightened and alarmed the public at large,” Jammu and Kashmir police said in a statement.

Earlier today, Faisal Wani removed the video and posted an apology on her YouTube channel.

“Yesterday, I made a VFX video of Nupur Sharma that went viral across India. And an innocent person like me got caught up in the controversy,’ said Faisal Wani in a new video today.

He also said he had no intention of hurting people’s feelings from other religions.

Mr. Wani stated that he had removed his video, which had become viral.
