China-Pak Military cooperation applauded

The Defence Minister of China General Wei Fenghe on Monday termed the Pak-China military cooperation a significant pillar of bilateral ties.

The Pakistan Chief of Army Staff reached the Chinese capital on Monday on a two-day official visit. The army chief Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa met with the Chinese minister in Beijing, who said, his country greatly valued the time-tested relations with Pakistan and its army, a press release issued by ISPR said.

The Chinese defence minister also said that the development of CPEC was aimed at bringing more benefits and prosperity to the people of both countries and termed the Sino-Pak military cooperation an “important pillar of Bilateral relations”.

ISPR said Gen Wei thanked the COAS for special measures taken by Pakistan for the provision of a safe and secure environment for CPEC projects in Pakistan and efforts towards regional stability.

“He expressed satisfaction over the progress on CPEC and hoped for timely completion of these projects,” it said.
