Back to the field for a Premier League game, Cristiano Ronaldo paid homage to his deceased son after scoring his 100th league goal.

The Portuguese footballer raised his left hand to the sky to mark his great success several days after losing his newborn.

Taking to Instagram, Ronaldo shared an image in which he could be seen staring up at the sky and pointing his finger at it.

To show their solidarity with the player, his fans also cheered in the seventh minute of the match.

Earlier, Ronaldo shared a family photo, informing his followers that her baby made the trip back from the hospital after Monday’s birth.

The player wrote: “Home sweet home. Gio and our baby girl are finally together with us. We want to thank everyone for all the kind words and gestures.”
