Elon Musk leads list of highest-paid CEOs of 2021

Tesla's CEO, Elon Musk, who is the wealthiest man in the world, earned over $10 billion in 2021, making him the best-paid CEO in the world.


Musk has been at the top of the list over the last four years. His pay was mostly based on several stock options, which added $78 billion to her personal wealth, which is estimated at about $269 billion.

The salary of SpaceX’s CEO is huge as the remaining 13 CEOs on the list after Musk does just over half of what he makes, which amounts to $6.3b, according to The Daily Mail.

CEO of Rivian Automotive Robert Scaringe had a $2.3 billion cheque last year but was still well behind Musk.

Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO, made approximately $853 million in 2021, while CEO/CTO of Lucid Motors in California, Peter Rawlinson, made $575 million.

Software company C3.As CEO Tom Siebel came in fifth place to win $343 million, while Coty’s CEO Sue Nabi banked $283 million.

Joe Bae, Chief Executive Officer of KKR Private Equity, was awarded $279 million in 2021. Meanwhile, the CEO of cybersecurity firm Sentinel One Tomer Weingarten earned $275 million, ranking eighth.

The ninth on the list was taken by Palantir Technologies CEO Alex Karp, earnings of $264 million, whereas 10 was taken by GitLab CEO Sid Sijbrandij with a profit of 263 million dollars.
