Government committed to root out terrorism: Jan

The provincial Caretaker Minister for Information Balochistan, Jan Achakzai has vowed that the state of Pakistan is determined to root out terrorism and establish peace and stability in the province.

He expressed his views during a press conference at the Sikandar Jamali auditorium in the civil secretariat in Quetta on Sunday.

Jan Achakzai announced that each family of the martyrs of the Mastung incident will receive compensation of 1.5 million rupees, while the critically injured will be given five hundred thousand rupees, and the other injured will receive two hundred thousand.

“The injured individuals who are not satisfied with their treatment will be shifted to CMH or any other hospital in Pakistan,” he said, adding that according to confirmed reports, 56 people have died, and 65 others were injured in the Mastung incident.

The Information Minister informed that the suicide bomber was a teenager aged 15 to 18, and his remains have been sent to Lahore for further forensic examinations. He mentioned that the CTD is investigating the matter, utilizing all available resources, and the local administration is collecting more information on the incident.

Speaking about the visit of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Syed Asim Munir, to Quetta, the information minister said the Government and the Security forces are determined to root out terrorism, whether it is ethnic, political, or religious.

He added, COAS showed determination to seek revenge for the blood of the martyrs of Mastung, and the people and Government of Balochistan stand with the Pakistan Army in this fight against terrorism.

He also said that the federal apex committee meeting, scheduled for October 3rd, will make important decisions on sending illegal immigrants back to their countries and preventing smuggling.

“Illegal immigrants will be sent back to their home countries, terrorists and their facilitators will be brought to justice,” he said, adding that the Government of Balochistan welcomes the decisions under the leadership of Caretaker Chief Minister Mir Ali Mardan Domki.

Jan Achakzai underscored that it is essential to strengthen the security of Balochistan, as the path to the progress of Pakistan goes through Gwadar, Sui, and Saindak. He added, “We will protect every inch of it.”

He also mentioned that India has been involved in state terrorism in Balochistan before, and no one will be spared in this conspiracy to spread terrorism here.
