After giving a six-day deadline to the government to announce a date for new polls, PTI Chairman Imran Khan left for his Bani Gala residence. The party chairman and other party leaders left the container shortly after the speech while party workers managed to enter the Red Zone despite the deployment of the army.

Addressing the party workers at Jinnah Avenue, the PTI chief cautioned that he will go back to Islamabad, along with millions of people if the government fails to announce the date for fresh elections. Imran Khan demanded the immediate dissolution of the assemblies and the proclamation of elections.

Imran Khan stated that he arrived in Islamabad after a 30-hour journey from Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The government has made every effort to crush our Azadi march. They used tear gas against peaceful protestors, our homes were searched and the privacy of the homes was violated, however, I saw the nation liberating itself from the fear of slavery,” he said.

The chairman of PTI reprimanded the government for “trying to create a rift between the people and law enforcement agencies”.

Imran Khan said that he had decided to hold a sit-in until the government dissolves assemblies and calls new elections, but after seeing the “brutal repression” of people in the past 24 hours, he changed his mind.
