Pakistan rise in latest ICC Test rankings

The Babar Azam-led Pakistan has surpassed England, while Australia still dominates the top position in the latest ICC Test Team Rankings.

The rankings were published by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Wednesday when Australia now leads India in second by nine points with a rating of 128 points.

India, with 119 points, clings to 2nd place in the rankings, ahead of a close fight for 3rd place between New Zealand (111) and South Africa (110).

Meanwhile, South Africa also narrowed the gap by 13 to the lone point on the last rankings, after a jump in their ratings from 102 to 110 points.

Pakistan rounded out the top five with 93 points, with Babar Azam’s side passing England (88) into fifth place.

England dropped nine points from 97 to 88 in the latest rankings.
