Pakistan’s Meteorological Department Predicts Date for Eid ul Adha
The Pakistan Weather Office predicts Eid ul Adha probably on Monday, June 17, 2024.
The Met Office’s Climate Data Processing Centre predicts the new moon for Dhul-Hijjah to appear on June 6 at 5:38 PM.
The moon in Karachi will be 26 hours and 8 minutes old at sunset,” stated the PMD, noting that “it’s expected to remain visible for 72 minutes after sunset.
Additionally, it was mentioned that the moon must be at least 19 hours old to become visible. The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will announce the official date for Eid ul Adha in the upcoming days.
Furthermore, the Establishment Division has declared holidays from June 17 to 19 for Eid ul Adha this year. Official notifications regarding the holidays will be issued by the federal and provincial governments a few days before Eid.
