Prohibited funding verdict: Govt decides to put names of PTI leaders on ECL
The federal government led by the PML-N decided to put the names of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's (PTI) leaders on the Exit Control List (ECL) as it straight away decides to execute the ruling of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in the matter of prohibited financing against the party.
According to a report, the federal government started action against the PTI leadership following the ECP verdict.
The government will place the names of the PTI leaders involved in the case on the list to prevent them from leaving the country.

However, the proposal will be brought forward to the federal cabinet at its next meeting.
The ministry of interior will seek approval from the federal cabinet to put the names of PTI leaders on the ECL.
