In the 15th match of the T20 World Cup, Bangladesh defeated Sri Lanka by 2 wickets.

In the Group D match played in Dallas, Bangladesh won the toss and chose to field first against Sri Lanka.

The Sri Lankan team scored 124 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their allotted overs, with opener Pathum Nissanka being the top scorer with 47 runs off 28 balls.
