Trophy for triangular series unveiled as Bangladesh, New Zealand, and Pakistan set to face off
The Triangle Series trophy featuring Pakistan, Bangladesh, and New Zealand was unveiled two days before the first game, scheduled for September 7.
The series will begin with Bangladesh’s game with Men in Green, which reached New Zealand on September 4.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) released Wednesday photos of the event unveiling trophy in a tweet post. The photos showed the skippers of three teams attending the event.
The Green Men will face tough conditions during the games as the cold weather greeted them in Christchurch.
The temperature in New Zealand can drop to 2 degrees Celsius and the intermittent rains have made it a little more difficult for Pakistani players.
Green shirts will start practicing on Thursday (October 6th), after today’s rest. All the games of the tri-series will be played in Christchurch, with the first game between Pakistan and Bangladesh scheduled for October 7th, and the decision-maker of the series on October 14th.
Those competing at the ICC T20 World Cup will fly directly from Pakistan to Australia.
After the tri-series, Pakistan will compete in the highly anticipated Mega T20 and return to Australia on October 15 for an action-packed 2022 World Cup.
The team will participate in a training session on October 17th and 19th, prior to their World Cup matches.
The T20 World Cup begins on 16 October with the matches to be played between Pool A teams Sri Lanka and Namibia, as well as UAE and Netherlands.
