California: Previously, Meta introduced a feature to update WhatsApp statuses on Facebook, so the integration of features between WhatsApp and Instagram for updates is not entirely new.

With this feature, any image, video, gif, or text shared on WhatsApp will appear on Instagram Stories for 24 hours. Importantly, users will have the option to control who can view their Stories.

Currently, WhatsApp statuses can be shared in three ways: with everyone, with selected individuals, or excluding some individuals. According to WhatsApp Beta Info, the inclusion of a feature allowing users to share status updates on Instagram comes with several benefits, the most significant being time savings.

It’s worth noting that the feature is currently in the testing phase and has been made available to beta users for experimentation. There is an expectation that it will be introduced globally for all users soon, but the company has not provided a definite release date.
