World Cup Completely Different Game: Babar Azam

Pakistan National team captain Babar Azam has said that he is disappointed about losing the series. Winning the series was necessary to enter the T20 World Cup with high spirits.

During a press conference after the match in London, Babar Azam said that the World Cup is a completely different game and they will deliver better results in it.

He stated that, without a doubt, the batsmen did not bat responsibly in the middle overs and lost wickets. The successive fall of wickets prevented them from achieving a high score.

Babar Azam said that the bowlers did not bowl well and conceded too many runs. He mentioned that all players, including Azam Khan, were selected on merit, and questions arise after a defeat.

He further stated that the players need to play modern cricket and will have to increase their strike rate to secure victories.

In response to a question, Babar Azam said that although they are not familiar with the conditions in the USA, they are well aware of the conditions in the West Indies. He mentioned that all players know their roles and will need to take responsibility in the World Cup.

The national team captain said that to get back on the path of victories, they will have to play modern cricket.
