Maryam Nawaz, vice-president of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), teased former Prime Minister Imran Khan as a “spoiled child”.
“He [Imran] has raised an uproar today for being ousted from power,” she said, addressing party supporters gathered in the Kotla area of Gujrat,
The PML-N leader told the ousted premier that his “politics is ended” and the PML-N is now in charge of the affairs.
“As his Lettergate theory failed, he resorted to a news story, claiming his life is in danger,” she added. “Imran Khan, you lost the game once and for all. Your game is over for sure.”
Criticizing PTI chairman Imran Khan she said the way he was “crying” shows that the “establishment has blocked [his] number.”
Maryam said that the number the former prime minister is attempting to call had changed.
“Every time you try to dial that number, you receive a message that you do not have access to this facility.”
The leader of PML-N accused the former prime minister of using such tactics to avoid giving the public a report card on his performance.
It is simply because, she added, he does not have any performance to present to the masses.
About the supposed threats to Imran’s life, she said, “We don’t want you to die, we want you to live to see the progress of Nawaz Sharif.”
At the same time, Maryam asked Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah to find the video Imran is talking about to confirm the allegations and ensure a high level of security for the former prime minister.
She also reproached Imran for his criticism of the government regarding rising inflation and other issues.
Addressing the massive rally, Hamza Shehbaz said, “If Imran is left free with his rant, he will undermine Pakistan’s peace.”
On the occasion, Hamza, son of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, pledged to bring down commodity prices in the province, especially those of edibles. Hamza promised to bring tremendous progress to Kotla, build roads as well as improve the educational status of the area.
