FIA Arrests Human Rights Activist Sarim Burney in Karachi

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) detained human rights advocate Sarim Burney in Karachi.


Karachi: The Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Anti-Human Trafficking Unit took human rights activist Sarim Burney into custody on Wednesday.

Sources revealed that Burney was sought by the agency for his alleged complicity in heinous offenses, including the trafficking and exploitation of humans.

After closely monitoring his activities for an extended period, the FIA arrested Sarim Burney shortly after his arrival at Karachi Airport from the US.

Burney’s legal team has since arrived at the FIA office to provide counsel and navigate the legal proceedings.
