According to the notification, the changes were made as a result of a reduction in the prices of oil products in the international market.

As a result of fluctuating oil prices in the international market and exchange rate fluctuations, the government has decided to review existing oil product prices to pass on the impact to the consumers”, the statement said.

It further stated that the new prices will take effect on August 1, 2022, and will remain in effect until August 15.
