Ex- prime minister Imran Khan on Sunday instructed his party MPAs in Punjab to start preparations for general elections.
During a visit to Lahore, the PTI chief met with Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, PTI Punjab MPAs, and party leaders.
The ex-PM considered the names for the Punjab cabinet and gave an important assignment to Senator Sania Nishtar.
Imran said the only way to restore stability to the country is to have free and fair elections. “The expectations of the people are now bound up with PTI.”
The head of PTI added that people are getting into politics to make money, but “now the conscience of the public has awakened.”
“Even children and younger generations are aware of what is happening,” he continued, pointing out that general elections may take place very soon in view of the economic commotion in the country.
The meeting between Imran and CM Elahi discussed providing relief to the flood-stricken people.
