Hamas’ military leader, Yahya Sinwar, has communicated his stance on U.S. President Joe Biden’s proposed Gaza ceasefire roadmap to negotiators.

According to a report published in the Wall Street Journal, Yahya Sinwar informed the negotiators that Hamas will not accept Biden’s ceasefire roadmap unless Israel guarantees a permanent cessation of hostilities.

The report, citing Israeli media, claims that Israel has also informed the negotiators that they will wait for Hamas’ response to the American roadmap by Saturday.

If no favorable response is received, Israel plans to intensify its military operations.
