Rampant Terrorism: 17 Soldiers Martyred in Attacks Across Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa; One Brave Soldier Embraces Martyrdom in Dera Ismail Khan

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), on November 3, three terrorist attacks occurred in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and one incident took place in Balochistan, resulting in a total of 17 soldiers martyred in acts of terrorism.

Counterterrorism Operation in Rodi Area of Dera Ismail Khan Results in Terrorist’s Death

A counterterrorism operation in the Rodi area of Dera Ismail Khan led to a fierce exchange of fire, resulting in the death of one terrorist and two others injured. The deceased terrorist has been identified as a suicide bomber named Osama, affiliated with the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the terrorist was planning a high-profile incident in the area.

According to the Pakistan Army’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), a second operation was carried out in the Lakki Marwat district based on intelligence information. During the operation, there was intense gunfire, resulting in the death of one terrorist and the clearance of terrorist hideouts in the area. Sadly, during the exchange of fire, two valiant soldiers, Naik Zafr Iqbal and Sepoy Haji Jan Bahaduri, were martyred.

In another incident, a third terrorist attack occurred in Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, specifically in the Klachi area, where a suicide bombing claimed the life of Shahid Iqbal. The ISPR revealed that terrorists targeted two vehicles of forces in Pasni and Ormara, attacking them with explosives.

The ISPR stated that the culprits behind these heinous acts would be brought to justice, and security forces continue their intensive operations in the area with a strong resolve to eliminate terrorism.

Previously, in Dera Ismail Khan, a bomb explosion resulted in the loss of six lives and injuries to 21 individuals, including police officers.

Various political and social figures, including Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Sindh Chief Minister Justice (retired) Maqbool Baqir, and Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori, have strongly condemned the recent attacks on the Pakistan Army in Balochistan. They expressed their deep condolences and solidarity with the families of the 14 martyred soldiers, stating that these attacks are deplorable, and those who carry out attacks against the security forces are enemies of Pakistan.

They called for a resolute response to eliminate the enemies of the nation and expressed sympathy for the families of the fallen heroes.

They hailed the sacrifices of the martyrs, recognizing them as national heroes who gave their lives for the security of the beloved homeland. They also emphasized the need to remember the invaluable sacrifices made by the martyrs and unite as a nation to combat terrorism.

Ali Muhammad Khan, a leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), spoke during a program called “Center Stage” and expressed his condolences for the 14 young soldiers who were martyred in Balochistan. He noted that terrorists cannot succeed in their objectives in Balochistan and recognized the resilience of the people.

A terror attack on the Mianwali Training Air Base of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has been thwarted and all the personnel and assets are safe, the military’s media wing said in a statement on Saturday.

“On 04 November, 2023, in the early hours of the day, Mianwali Training Air Base of Pakistan Air Force came under a failed terrorist attack which, Alhumdolliah, due to the swift and effective response by the troops, has been foiled and thwarted, ensuring the safety and security of personnel and assets,” the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

It said that the military demonstrated exceptional courage and killed three terrorists when they attempted to enter the base.

The ISPR further added that the remaining three terrorists have been cornered/isolated due to a timely and effective response by the troops

“However, during the attack, some damage to three already grounded aircraft and a fuel bowser also occurred.”

The military said that a comprehensive joint clearance and combing operation is in the final stages to completely clear the area.

“Pakistan Armed Forces remain committed to eliminating the menace of terrorism from the country at all costs.”
