India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his condolences on the death of Bilquis Bano Edhi, the spouse of Abdul Sattar Edhi, a well-known philanthropist. On Twitter, the Indian PM said: “My sincere condolences on the passing of Bilquis Edhi. Her lifelong dedication to humanitarian work touched the lives of people across the globe. people in India remember her fondly’’.”May her soul rest in peace,” he wrote. Bilquis Edhi was buried in Karachi yesterday On Saturday, Bilquis Edhi was buried at Mewa Shah Cemetery in Karachi following Zuhr prayer. Her funeral prayers were held at the New Memon Masjid Kharadar shortly before burial.
