ISPR denounces smear campaign on Balochistan copter crash

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) denounced the smear campaign on social media on the lamentable Pakistan Army helicopter crash which left six military officials martyred.

The helicopter that had gone missing this week on Monday as it was en route from Quetta to Karachi. The personnel on the copter were supervising rescue operations in the southwest of the country.

“The deplorable social media campaign following the unfortunate helicopter crash on August 1 has caused much anxiety and distress to the Shuhada families and rank and file of the Armed Forces,” said the military’s media wing.

The statement added, “While the entire nation stood with the institution during this difficult time, some insensitive circles resorted to hurtful and derogatory social media comments which are unacceptable and highly reprehensible.”
