In the third match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, Namibia’s team defeated Oman in the Super Over.

The match played in Burj Town saw Namibia winning the toss and opting to field.

Batting first, Oman’s team scored 109 runs and lost all wickets, setting Namibia a target of 110 runs to win the match.

From Oman’s side, Khalid Kaail scored 34 runs, while Zeeshan Maqsood scored 22, Ayan Khan scored 15, and Shakil Ahmed scored 11 runs before getting out.

Namibia’s Ruben Trumpelmann took 4 wickets, David Wiese took 3, Gerhard Erasmus took 2, and Bernard Scholtz took 1 wicket.

In pursuit of the target, Namibia’s team also managed to score 109 runs on the loss of 6 wickets, leading the match to a Super Over.

In the Super Over, Namibia set a target of 22 runs for Oman. Oman’s team could only score 10 runs on the loss of one wicket in pursuit of the target, thus Namibia’s team won the match by 11 runs.
