PM directs uninterrupted supply of gas to consumers during winter season
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif instructed the relevant authorities to provide uninterrupted supplies of natural gas to domestic and industrial consumers during the winter.
Chairing a meeting in Lahore on Saturday in the presence of Minister of Finance Ishaq Dar, Minister of State for Petroleum Musadiq Malik, Advisor to Prime Minister Ahad Cheema, and other government officials.
The Prime Minister has asked the authorities concerned to establish a committee to deal with the issue of the supply of gas to textile plants.
Related Posts
Representatives from Sui Northern Gas Pipelines (SNGP) Limited and Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) will be part of the committee.
It was also agreed at the meeting to maintain the duration of power shedding at current levels.
The Prime Minister has also given instructions to increase fertilizer imports even more to meet next January’s demand.
