Putin to talk about Ukraine’s grain supply
Russian President Vladimir Putin tells French and German leaders that Moscow is willing to look for ways to transport grain stuck in Ukrainian ports.
Putin warns German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and French President Emmanuel Macron against the supply of heavy arms to Ukraine in an 80-minute phone call.
He also says he is willing to consider ways to ship stranded grain in Ukrainian ports but requires the west to lift sanctions first.
Scholz and Macron press Putin to release 2,500 azovstal fighters.
The Russian army claims to have captured the strategic town of Lyman in the east of Ukraine.
