Senior Diplomat Expresses Interest in Holding Talks with Nawaz Sharif
Former Prime Minister and Leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Nawaz Sharif, has emerged as the most sought-after leader by senior diplomats appointed in Islamabad.
Embassies, including sixty diplomatic missions, have insisted on engaging in discussions with him as they have returned to the country after nearly four years of exile and have been warmly welcomed by the people.
As diplomats representing various countries, these envoys are keen to understand the perspectives of PML-N’s supreme leader on sensitive and significant international issues, as well as bilateral matters concerning their respective nations.
It is perceived, based on the influence, that they are likely to be the next Prime Minister of the country in the upcoming general elections scheduled for 8th February next year.
Informed sources within the PML-N have informed News sources that soon after announcing the party manifesto for the elections, Nawaz Sharif will hold meetings with important diplomats to engage in detailed discussions on matters related to the government’s foreign policy.
