State Bank officially unveils Rs 75 commemorative note

Pakistan is celebrating its 75th Independence Day and the State Bank of Pakistan has revealed the Rs. 75 memorial banknotes in honour of the country's diamond jubilee.

The central bank revealed the special note earlier today on Twitter, stating, “The note will be available for public issuance beginning September 30, 2022.”

The emerald greenback is accompanied by portraits of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, Allama Muhammad Iqbal, and Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah. The portraits depict Pakistan’s founding members’ fight for independence.

Likewise, the vignette on the back, conceived by the artist, Sara Khan, shows the national animal Markhor and the national tree Deodar, reflecting the importance of preserving our environment and Pakistan’s unique plant and animal life.

The note was approved by the federal government pursuant to the SBP Act 1956 on the recommendation of the SBP Board.

The note also comes with different security features, including the embossed impression that can be felt by running your fingers through portraits, a watermark representing the portrait of Quaid-e-Azam, 75 numerals, security thread Pure image rainbow effect holographic pulsed, micro-lettering of 75 numerals among others.
