Two cops martyred in Jaffarabad attack

Two police officials on Sunday embraced martyrdom in an assault on a police checkpoint in the Dera Allahyar neighborhood in the Jaffarabad district.

Sources indicate that armed motorcyclists used automatic weapons in the attack on the Mandrani police checkpoint, resulting in the martyrdom of Head Constable Moor Khan Behrani and Constable Babul Khan Kanrani. The assailants also carried their official AK-47 guns. Police officials and personnel of other security forces on receiving the information rushed to the site and shifted the bodies to the district hospital.

“The victims suffered multiple gunshot wounds, resulting in their immediate death,” according to hospital sources.

Police conducted a search of the area following the firearm attack.
