In a meeting with officials of the Quetta Electric Supply Company (Qesco) and farmers of the Pishin district on Wednesday, the chief minister urged the federal government and Qesco to take steps on a war footing to resolve the power crisis in the province. The meeting learned that the protracted load-shedding was severely affecting the people of Balochistan.

Even though farmers pay their bills on a regular basis, the CEO of Qesco stated that the central electricity distribution and transmission system does not supply electricity to Balochistan in accordance with its quota.
