Brave Quetta tanker driver nominated for Tamgha-e-Shujaat

The tanker’s heroic driver, who drove a tanker loaded with thousands of litres of fuel out of populated areas while on fire, has been nominated for civil bravery.

Faisal Baloch met Premier Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister’s House in Islamabad on Wednesday.

In a statement on his official Twitter account, Shehbaz said it was a “pleasure” to meet the tanker driver.

“A real-life hero, he risked his own life to save the lives of countless others,” Shehbaz said, adding, I applaud his selfless act of courage.

The Prime Minister added that he nominated Faisal to “Tamgha-e-shujaat”.

Earlier this week, Faisal received a shield, a certificate, and a cash prize on behalf of the Chief of Staff of the Army, General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
